In the 1970s, EAC (East Asiatic Company Ltd.) was the biggest company in Scandinavia, as measured by sales,
and employed more than 40,000. The prolific trade with India and other countries in the Far East by EAC and
others left a lasting mark on the city of Copenhagen and on Danish industries and commerce, one that remains
